Bhutan: Himalayan Journey back in Time
Where is Bhutan you ask? A question I’m often was asked. Most people could not even find it on a map.
This tiny Buddhist kingdom is tucked away in the Himalayas between Tibet and India next to Nepal. Our trek was a 9-day journey through virgin forests of blue pine, junipers, cedars and cypress pine. We passed through small villages where men and woman wear their traditional dress.
Our destination was Chomolhari Base Camp, which revealed the awesome splendor of the 8000-meter peak. The name Chomolhari means Mountain of the Goddess.

Surrounded by the awe inspiring Himalayas, one truly feels the sentiment of the peaceful Buddhist country.
