Charities We Support:

TRAS (Trans Himalayan Aid Society) is a Vancouver-based non-profit international development organization that seeks to improve the health and education of children and youth in Tibet, Nepal and northern India.

Since 1962, TRAS has developed a network of partner agencies and individuals in India, Nepal, and Tibet that implement health care and education projects in their communities. TRAS's role is to raise funds for, and distribute funds to, its partner organizations overseas, while its Himalayan partners implement the projects themselves.

TRAS has also been running a sponsorship program to assist the primary and secondary education of needy Himalayan children and youth for over 40 years.
At present, 397 children are being sponsored in 11 settlements in India and Nepal. Your donation of about a dollar a day enables a child or teenager to pay school fees, purchase a school uniform, books, and classroom equipment.

The Kelty Patrick Dennehy Foundation was established in 2001 to prevent depression related suicide in young people and to honor their son Kelty who
took his life at age 17,after suffering the ravages of depression.
The Foundation has raised almost 3 million dollars, since its inception and is one
of the biggest contributors to depression prevention in Western Canada. Depression is the #2 killer of teens in B.C. and our Foundation needs your
support to effectively fund programs to enhance education ,care and research.
